Tom Davidson is the system administrator for The Robot Group server because he knew how to set it up and
he has an ISDN line to his house. Well, he also wanted to do it too. (Those who know how usually do.) Tom has been playing with computers for way too long, beginning with his first one an Altair 8800. Tom's background is in Electrical and Computer Engineering and he is currently employed by North Shore Circuit Designs. Tom's group projects have included the Packet Radio Robot and the Schwa Stay Awake Sumou Robot. Currently he is working on improving RoboVision which made its debut at RoboFest 7 and helping out with the proposed Oversized Hexapod Walker. His current project, EyeBot is based on the Mobile Platform mechanics and uses R/C truck speed controllers and servos. Eyebot is undergoing environmental testing in harsh conditions such as those found in Nevada's Black Rock Desert and local Texas Hill Country locations. In his spare time Tom tinkers with his Jetski's, his '71 BSA Lightning motorcycle and of course the Robot Group computer network. Tom also serves on The Robot Group's Board of Directors.
